Anyone who’s played a build-and-battle game will instantly understand how to create a formidable outpost in Space Miner Wars. You make resource collectors, construct cannons and turrets and then go about upgrading it all. But instead of building troops, you build a spaceship that you fly through obstacle-ridden levels and bases. Will you produce a faster model, or one that can withstand more damage? With tons of options to upgrade, laying siege to other people’s bases is always a blast.
Good but Tedious
The first Space Miner is a classic and if you haven't played it, it's definitely worth checking out.
The sequel unfortunately doesn't live up to its predecessor, the story moves fairly quickly at first, but after you've mastered how to play it slows down massively and it really becomes either a slog to get the resources to move on to the next level to continue the story (it takes a long time), or a money pit, if you're prepared to pay to progress more quickly.
If you enjoy competing against others, the competitive element will probably keep you engaged, but if you came from the first Space Miner, hoping for another engaging story. You will be disappointed.
Love, love, love this game!
Have been playing this game for a few days now so time to tell you that's it's great and you should give it a try. It's very polished and the campaign is a lot of fun to play. I really enjoy the ship upgrades and getting out to blast some rocks and robots.
